This is such an Awsome Idea! I might even start a 365 Granny A-Day Project of my own!
This comes from a Blog: things to make and do.
If you would like to check it out and learn more about her project, go here! In this blog post she mentions here pattern resources from books, websites, her own patterns, how-to join techniques, & tutorials! She chooses patterns and yarn colors as she goes based on what appeals to her at the moment. She is making 6-, 8-, and 10-inch squares, all with her trusty size H Clover hook... "(unless otherwise noted)". She says "I have not found many resources about joining squares from different patterns. If you come across any, please share them with me!" If you choose to join in or find any other resources you can email her here: adaiha@gmail.com
She mentions the yarn she is using, which is:
- Worsted Weight Acrylic for Blankets
- Caron Simply Soft
- Lion Brand Vanna's Choice
- Red Heart Soft
- Loops & Threads Impeccable
- Various skeins of thrifted yarn
- Worsted Weight Wool for Potholders
- Knit Picks Wool of the Andes
If you would like to check out some photo's of the squares she has completed, go here to take a look!
Keep up the good work things to make and do!
Thank you for your comment. I got your message about the background not working. I'm looking into it now.
